Quilt give-away

I would like to give this quilt to a child in need. "In need" does not necessarily mean they are underprivileged. "In need" could be a child that deserves something special to cheer them up. They could be sick. Recently lost a parent or loved one.
Please leave me a comment explaining why this child needs my quilt. Do not leave their name. On April 11Th I will choose a comment. I will then contact you for more information. Such as a name and address that I can ship it to. They could receive it in time for Easter Sunday. (correction!!! Will receive it week after Easter Sunday)

Thank you!

I believe the beautiful quilt should go to a little girl, daughter of a farmgirl, who is battling a life threatening disease. She's taking chemo for Leukemia. Seeing her bright smiling face is an inspiration to me and surely to many others. I'm sure you know who I'm a referring to, but since you specified no names, I'll adhere to 'the rules'.
Thanks for considering our own "little miss sunshine".

Kathy...What a generous soul you are! I know exactly who would love this beautiful quilt with all the bright and cheery colors. Ronna said it before me...."Little Miss Sunshine" Give it to one of our dear farmgirls little girl.

I agree that the little girl mentioned by Ronna would definitely add even more "sunshine" to the quilt. she has been a real trooper through a life threatening illness.

I know a mother of four children (ages 7, 5, 3, 1) who is getting ready to say goodbye to their father, a military medic, who is beginning a tour in Afghanistan next week. They are a very close family and this is going to be his first tour, and the longest he has ever been away from his family.

To complicate matters even more, my friend, the mother, who is trying to keep everything together for her husband and children's sake, found out she was pregnant and due while her husband is gone.

This mother is an inspiration to me. She continues to volunteer as Military Family Centre's board of directors as President and is very active within her church. I think this quilt would be a perfect way for her to keep her spirits up while waiting for her husband to come home safe and sound. It would also make an amazing present for the family's forthcoming addition.

It's a very beautiful quilt! I am sure whoever gets it will love it dearly.

Hi Kathy,

That is such a beautiful quilt and such a generous offer.

I have a friend whose daughter has been declared legally blind. She can still see but has to be SO close to be able to somewhat make out what something is. She has a genetic disorder that the doctors describe as having bad film in a camera. She is 12 and is such a great help to her mom in helping look after her 3 younger siblings (one also has the same condition).

I admire her for her drive and determination and her spirit. Her Grandmother was an avid knitter and she has been knitting for a couple of years. She has won blue ribbons at the County Fair and has sold enough knitted dishcloths to buy herself an ipod :)

She appreciates everything and finds beauty in all :)

Thank you for considering Hannah.

Sorry I messed up and left a name.

and I also know I am partial, lol.
